Lessons you assign. Projects your students build.
Every lesson turns a topic into an interactive story or game — with a complete, standards-aligned Teacher Kit.
Grades 3–8Personality Quiz Game
In this fun mini coding lesson, students become quiz game designers ! They write one silly quiz question, create two answer buttons, and code a text variable that stores the player’s result. They design a page, add visuals, and test their quiz with different choices — combining simple writing, logic, and interactive design.
Grades 7–10Teacher Thank-You Message Generator
In this quick Hour of Code project, students become game designers. They write a short, fun thank-you message for a teacher, then code two text variables to let the teacher personalize the message. The final message uses player inputs to change each time — combining thoughtful tone with basic coding logic.
Grades 7–8Poem Generator: Simile & Metaphor
In this creative lesson, students write a short poem that uses one simile and one metaphor, then add two fill-in-the-blank inputs to let the player personalize it. They’ll choose a mood, use vivid vocabulary, and code the blanks with variables in Elementari — so every read-through changes!
Grades 3–8Fill-in-the-Blank Story Game: Adjective + Noun
In this quick, silly storytelling activity, students become game designers ! They write a short story with two blanks — an adjective and a noun — that a player fills in. Students code their story using variables to store and show the player’s words. The final story is short, funny, and different every time.
Grades 7–8U.S. Landforms Interactive Map
Explore how landforms shape life across the United States in this interactive geography and coding project. In this lesson, you’ll research real U.S. landforms, write about how they formed and how people interact with them, then build a clickable map using Elementari. You'll use simple code blocks so that when a character is dragged over a landform, it opens a new page filled with your writing, visuals, and sounds.
Grades 5–6Choose Your Own Ocean Mystery 🌊
What if a sea creature went missing—and you had to solve the mystery? In this interactive storytelling lesson, students become ocean explorers. They research real animals, write a branching story, and use Elementari to code choices, clues, and kind actions that earn Friendship Points.
Grades 9–10Justice Simulator: What Would You Do?
What would you do in a moment that demanded courage? In this interactive storytelling lesson, students step into the shoes of a real historical figure and face a decision with real consequences. Using Elementari, they’ll combine research, writing, and coding to show how small actions can lead to big change—or allow injustice to continue.
Grades 3–4Animating the Legacy: Celebrating HBCUs
Celebrate the rich history and culture of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) through research, writing, and animation. Students will create an interactive digital story using Elementari that showcases an HBCU’s legacy, mascot, traditions, and notable alumni using sequencing, loops, and interactive coding.
Grades 7–8Protecting Our Oceans 🌊
Explore the global issue of plastic pollution in the ocean and learn how to code an interactive, educational app. Students will research environmental facts, write with purpose, and code animations and interactive features to raise awareness about how plastic affects marine life—and what we can do to help. This lesson integrates literacy, science, and basic computer science principles.
Grades 7–8My Personality & Future Career
In this lesson, students will explore their personality traits and discover potential career paths using the O*NET Interest Profiler. They'll create an interactive project in Elementari that highlights their traits and how they align with a possible career. The project will introduce coding with animations and background music.
Grades 3–4It’s Snowing! Holiday Card ❄️
Create a magical holiday card with animated falling snowflakes and interactive elements! In this lesson, students will design a holiday card, write a cheerful message, and code looping snowflake animations with interactive features.
Grades 3–4Solving School Problems 🏫
Use storytelling and coding to help students creatively tackle real-world problems. In this lesson, students identify a school issue, develop a solution, and present it as an interactive story. They will use Elementari to animate characters, incorporate music, and record voiceovers to bring their story to life. This lesson fosters problem-solving, creativity, and coding for kids, providing a hands-on way to integrate digital storytelling into the classroom.
