How can we tell the difference between a result that measures something and one that merely flatters us?
Les élèves pourront
Plan and define a theme with two personality sides
Write three creative questions with two personality-based answers
Use number variables and add points to track each side
Use a Compare block to code the result page logic
Test and revise their quiz using peer feedback and checklists

Évaluation
Évaluation formative
Use milestone checks, organizer responses, and daily test evidence to guide feedback.
Évaluation sommative
All three questions are distinct, balanced, and consistently tied to the two theme sides; results are positive and non-scientific. Every button increments the intended side, navigation proceeds through all questions, and all-A, all-B, and two-to-one tests produce matching results.

Ce qu’il faut savoir
Students learn that a claim about a person earns trust only when it could have come out differently — a fair quiz's outcome depends on the answers given, while a Barnum statement fits everyone and therefore tells you nothing. They apply this by designing balanced questions that genuinely distinguish two playful sides, tracking points honestly, and writing results that stay positive without pretending to define who the player really is.
Termes clés
accuracy
how closely a statement matches what is actually true
Barnum effect
the tendency to accept vague, flattering statements as personally accurate
preference
something a person likes or chooses more than another option
balanced
giving options equal weight and appeal so neither is obviously "better"
Idées fausses à anticiper
✕
Questions switch what Side A and Side B mean or repeat the same choice in new words. →Keep a visible side-definition chart and require each question to add a distinct situation.
✕
The final comparison shows the wrong result or a button increments the wrong side. →Complete an answer key with expected totals, then test all-A, all-B, and two-to-one response patterns.
